Reader's Discretion Advised

...this confuses me. So...it's like tumblr...for books?

Either way, I'm mainly on Goodreads. I do occasionally come here, and also do periodically import my shelves from GR here, but GR is a more sure bet for contacting me.

Trompe L'oeil

Trompe L'oeil - K.C. Burn Yeah, I enjoyed it. It's not a mind-blowing piece, but it's solid, and well fleshed out.

The cover isn't the best, but it at least makes a concerted effort.

The story itself was quite nice. I liked the characters.

I'm amused to report that there is implied Bechdel test-passing. The conversation doesn't happen on screen, but apparently Mandy speaks to an unnamed history professor, referred to as "she," about historical stuff, like Sumerian symbols.

Eh. I don't know what to say. I liked it. It's a solid work, by no means of epic proportions, but enjoyable and certainly didn't feel like a waste of time.

Also, it had moments that were quite visceral.
