I love fairy tales. I like big gay romances. A.R. Jarvis combines the two so I get fairy tales with big gay romances. It's great.
The POV shift + recap in the middle was odd, but I took it in stride.
I really liked it. I found the ending incredibly amusing.
The best part of Jarvis' stories is he doesn't really rewrite old stories as gay romances. He takes fairy tale tropes and creates his own stories. This one has hints of one story and hints of another, but I've got a wide-spread enough knowledge of lore to know that that's what fairy tales do. Sometimes certain tales are variations of, deviations from, and compilations of bunches of other stories/pieces of stories. That's what make his stories really awesome.
