Reader's Discretion Advised

It's more romancey than steampunk-y. You get a nice bit of steampunk wingporn, though (not exactly, but it just sounds amusing to call it that).

The romance was a bit iffy, though. The characters still weren't quite defined enough for much of it to make much sense, which is a damn shame.

The implied thing with the Big Bad came to naught, so it was basically just a useless tangent of a subplot. The ending was rather abrupt. I'd have liked there to be more than the possible implied desire for retribution by the Big Bad.

Whole lotta impotent rage and nothing to vent it on? Or no idea how to vent it properly. Or at all, it seems. It just fizzled out.

Crying shame. I'd have liked to like it.
