Reader's Discretion Advised

...this confuses me. So...it's like tumblr...for books?

Either way, I'm mainly on Goodreads. I do occasionally come here, and also do periodically import my shelves from GR here, but GR is a more sure bet for contacting me.

Lost in the Echo

Lost in the Echo - Jack L. Pyke I liked it, and then I didn't like it, and then I was okay with it, and then I don't know. On one hand, it seems like the author's writing style has lost its novelty and therefore, a lot of the initial punch her works can have.

I was actually a little confused about the overplot, why certain things were the way they were, and why everything seemed like willfully blind idiots.

On face value, this story's great. It really creates atmosphere and sets tone well. Some of the things the characters do and/or some of the things the NPCs (sorry, side characters) (actually, the MCs, even) do, though... it makes you kind of wonder. Like would that really happen that way?
